Neillsville Finance Committee Prepares 2014 Budget, Final

-The Neillsville Finance Committee continues to hear reports from various departments as they prepare the 2014 budget.The city heard a report on the Neillsville Taxi service. Due to Neillsville?s population dipping below $2,500 people, the city is no longer eligible for state aid on its own. So, Neillsville will be co-oping with Clark County for next years? service.
Also, the United Communities of Clark County voted to renew the Garbage and Recycling Collection Contract with Advanced Disposal for another three years.
The Beautification Committee presented their budget of $1,700 for 2014 which is the same as last year. The committee does plan on buying four additional hanging baskets for next year, but they are hoping donations will cover the costs of those.
The Historic Preservation Commission presented the 2014 budget of $1,900 which is the same as last year. The Heritage Days Committee also presented their budget of $1,750 for 2014 which is the same as last year.
