The four state report cards, District, Elementary, Junior High and Senior high, were presented to the Board. All four report cards showed ?Meets Expectations? as the district?s evaluation.
The Board approved allowing Kristin Kitlica to register for 12 credits for the spring semester under the Youth Options program.
The investment that the Foster Will scholarship was in ran out this past summer. To improve the rate of return on the investment, the family of Mr. Will had asked that the scholarship money be invested with the Marshfield Community Foundation. The foundation has many scholarships it administers for area schools. The rate of return currently is about 4%, which is much better than the district has been getting. The scholarship itself will not change. The Will family will still determine the recipient each year.
The district?s contract with Town and Country is set to expire at the end of the school year. The Board has asked that the contract be sent out to bid for next year. The transportation committee will work to get bids and have a new contract in place for the 2014-15 school year.
