Owen-Withee School Board Discusses Revenue Limit

The Owen-Withee School Board discussed their revenue limit at their School Board Meeting last Monday.Enrollment, valuation and state aid get plugged into the revenue limit worksheet to determine what the district?s tax levy will be. As they have not received the state aid number, Owen-Withee cannot finish the process.
The Board set Tuesday, Nov. 5th at 6:30 PM as the date and time for the Special Board Meeting to set the levy and review the self-evaluations.
The Board was notified that the Jr/Sr High school will be running a testing day on Tuesday, November 12th again this year.
The district started this last year and had some very good success. Students in grades 7, 8 and 10 will be taking portions of their required WKCE tests. Grade 9 will take the Explore test, which is a pre-ACT assessment and the juniors will take the ASVAB test, a post-secondary and career assessment, and Seniors will get the day off
