Friday, October 18th, 2013 -- 8:12 AM
-The Neillsville Finance Committee continues to hear reports from various departments as they prepare the 2014 budget. The budget for the Cemetery was presented. For the most part many lines of the budget stayed the same with minor increases or decreases here and there.
The biggest change to this budget was the $22,000 under the equipment line compared to $0 for 2013. The cemetery plans on purchasing a new skid steer for 2014 as their current 1999 Bobcat has over 3,000 hours on it and repairs are starting to get costly.
They have received two quotes for a new one. Peterson Implement in Whitehall offered a price of $43,860 and Tractor Central in Granton offered a price of $51,850. The cemetery would share half the cost with the Parks Department.
