NEW INFO: One Vehicle Rollover Accident Near Neillsville

-There was a one-vehicle rollover accident here in Clark County early this morning.According to the Clark County Sheriff?s Department, just after 1am on Wednesday morning they received a report about a vehicle driving through yards in the area of Grand Avenue and South Mound Road.
A Sheriff?s Deputy was headed east on South Mound Road when the vehicle approached the deputy heading west at a high rate of speed, crossed the center line and almost hit the squad car.
As the deputy pursued the vehicle, the vehicle entered the south ditch, about ? of a mile west of County Highway G, and overturned multiple times before coming to stop on its wheels.
The driver was killed instantly and the passenger was severely injured. The Neillsville Fire and Rescue had to use the Jaws of Life to free the individuals from the vehicle. The passenger was transported to Memorial Medical Center here in Neillsville and then to St. Joseph?s Hospital in Marshfield.
The Clark County Sheriff?s Department is continuing the investigation and no other information is being released at this time. This is Clark County?s eighth traffic fatality.
