Greenwood School Board Hears Committee Report

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Committee Reports at their recent meeting.
Board member Mark Shain provided an update from CESA 10. Mr. Lindner provided a recap from the Employee Relations committee meeting on November 3rd. Staff were very appreciative of the E-Learning day. The board indicated an interest in designating more E-Learning going forward. This will be a discussion at a special board meeting on November 23rd. Board Member Jerome Krempasky reported out on the Transportation & Safety Committee meeting held on October 27th. During the communication from the public, a community member expressed concern that our football team should not be “running” up the score. Another community member expressed concerns regarding virtual learning.
The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. Elementary Principal Joe Green provided an update on the first E-Learning day at the elementary school. About 75% of students completed their online work that day. The district provided 3 locations for students if they did not have internet access. Only 2 students signed up. Vision screening was completed for 4K, 5K, and 1st grade students. This screening is made possible by the Clark County Lions Clubs.
