One Vehicle Crash North of Withee

-There was a one vehicle crash north of Withee, in the Township of Hixon, early Thursday morning.According to the Clark County Sheriff?s Department, a vehicle was traveling north on County Highway T when it crossed the road and entered the west ditch. The vehicle struck a mailbox and went over a driveway causing the vehicle to go airborne for a short distance. It finally stopped when it struck a tree.
The passenger in the vehicle, 30-year-old Lisa Gaede of Withee, was able to call for help and she was flown to St. Joseph?s Hospital in Marshfield. The driver, 54-year-old Jeffery Gaede of Withee, was pronounced dead at the scene. Speed is considered to be a factor in the crash as well as the suspicion of alcohol. Seatbelts were not used by either occupant.
The investigation into the crash continues. This is the 7th traffic fatality in Clark County for 2013.
