Wisconsin Businessess Less Optimistic About Economy

-Wisconsin businesses are less optimistic about the economy for the next 12 months than their peers nationwide, according to a report released Wednesday.The 2013 McGladrey Manufacturing and Distribution Monitor survey showed that the state of industry in Wisconsin appears to reflect industry nationwide in many ways, yet is quite different in other ways.
The national report, from the tax and consulting firm McGladrey LLP, was based on findings from a survey of 1,067 industry executives. It was released at an event sponsored by the company at Discovery World, on Milwaukee's lakefront.
Among the findings, 56.3% of the Wisconsin businesses surveyed said they were "somewhat optimistic" about their overall economic growth prospects for the next 12 months and 20.8% said they were "very optimistic."
Nationwide, 62.6% of the surveyed businesses said they were somewhat optimistic about overall economic growth prospects and 22.2% said they were very optimistic.
