Governor Walker in Eau Claire Monday

-Governor Scott Walker was in Eau Claire yesterday for a ribbon cutting ceremony.The ceremony was for a new Holiday Inn in Eau Claire. The 90,000 square-foot complex is a $12 million investment located off of I-94 and Highway 53.
Governor Walker said, ?This is an important investment in the Eau Claire community and another important investment in 'Wisconsin's' tourism and hospitality industry. This groundbreaking is another sign of 'Wisconsin's' growing economy, and we're honored to be here today.?
According to Visit Eau Claire, the Holiday Inn and connected Johnny?s Italian Steakhouse will combine to bring an estimated 3 percent hike in tourism-related jobs in Eau Claire County. In addition, visitor spending is projected to increase by 5 percent, bringing nearly $6 million in estimated visitor economic impact to the area.
