Neillsville City Council Hears Reports as they Prepare for 2014 Budget

-The Neillsville City Council heard several reports from various committees at their meeting last week as they prepare to put together the 2014 budget for the city.The council heard a report from the Neillsville Community Fire Hall Board. They approved to present their budget of $12,650 to the Finance Committee.
The Airport Commission has decided that it's going to ask the Clark County Finance Committee and possibly the County Board for some assistance for the Neillsville Airport. The city of Neillsville budgets $30,000 to the airport and most of the money come from state and federal aid. The county has never contributed money to the airport.
They also discussed the runway and taxiway reconstruction project which is expected to start in 2015. The cost of the project is expected to be $1,256,000 with a city share costing of $57,030.
Finally, they approved the 2014 budget of $25,060.48 to present to the Finance Committee.
