Neillsville City Council Accepts Officer's Resignation

-The Neillsville City Council approved the resignation of one of the city?s officers during their meeting on Tuesday.Officer Kate McDonald is leaving the city of City of Neillsville. Mayor Steve Mabie thanked Officer McDonald for her work and dedication to the city and he wished her well. The council also approved the Neillsville Police Department to fill her position. The Police and Fire Commission handle that process and they will accept applications until the end of the month.
Some other items from the meeting: Mayor Mabie informed the council that the City of Loyal is now budgeting money to The Highground. In the past, it was only Neillsville that did that.
Also, the Eisner property now belongs to the city, the standpipe is now part of the Historical Registry, CESA 10 would like comments submitted from city leaders regarding the Race to the Top Grant area school districts are a part of and Mayor Mabie also mentioned Clark County hosting Alice in Dairyland next year.
Finally, the city received a bill from West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission for $8,000 regarding the Comprehensive Plan the city just completed. The WCWRPC also mentioned an upcoming meeting regarding disaster readiness.
