Tuesday, September 24th, 2013 -- 8:18 AM
-The Department of Public Instruction released the school report cards for the 2012-2013 school year. This year the DPI not only released school report cards for elementary and middle/high schools, but they also released report cards for the districts as a whole. In both cases, schools are graded on four categories and they are student achievement, student growth, closing the gaps and post-secondary readiness.
Taking a look at how other area and neighboring school districts scored, the Abbotsford School District scored a 71.5, Black River Falls scored a 66.1, Colby scored a 71.2, Osseo-Fairchild scored a 68.5, Spencer scored a 71.6, Stanley-Boyd scored a 79.7, Thorp a 71.1, Unity scored a 72.1 and Marshfield scored a 73.5.
All of these schools feel into the meets expectations category except for Stanley-Boyd and Marshfield which fell into the exceeds expectations category. The schools that did fall in the meets expectations category just missed it by anywhere from .9 to 6.9 points. Congratulations to all school districts.
