Lunch Increase for the Greenwood School District

-The Greenwood School District, along with all area districts, will see an increase in lunch prices this year.At Greenwood?s School Board Meeting on Monday, the board was informed of the $.10 increase to the lunch prices. The elementary lunches will now cost $2.40, the high school is $2.60 and adult prices are $3.40.
The board also accepted donations for school supplies for the elementary, middle and high school from Forward Financial Bank and the United Way.
Todd Fischer was approved as the assistant softball coach, Dave Post was approved as the coordinator for the Gifted and Talented Program, Jim Scheuer was approved as a long term sub while the music teacher is on maternity leave and several volunteers were approved as well.
The board also approved the preliminary 2013-2014 budget which will be brought to their Annual Meeting next Monday. The board also approved to borrow money for energy efficiency projects.
Finally, several ?tech? items were brought before the board that the district would like to purchase. The district will use the Microsoft money that basically every school district received from a lawsuit. The items to be purchased include laptops, smart boards and others items.
