-The Department of Public Instruction released the school report cards for the 2012-2013 school year. This year the DPI not only released school report cards for elementary and middle/high schools, but they also released report cards for the districts as a whole. In both cases, schools are graded on four categories and they are student achievement, student growth, closing the gaps and post-secondary readiness.
The Granton School District scored very well. The district as a whole scored 67.6 falling into the meets expectations category and the elementary received a score of 68.1 also falling into the meets expectations category. Granton just missed the exceeds expectations category by 5.4 and 4.9 points. The middle and high school wasn?t scored due to Granton?s small size.
The district as a whole received a score of 55.8 for achievement, 65.3 for growth, 69.3 for closing gaps and 80.2 for post-secondary readiness. The elementary received a score of 54.2 for achievement, 65.3 for growth, 66.3 for closing gaps and 86.5 for post-secondary readiness.
