Medford Veterinary Clinic Holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in Colby
Monday, September 16th, 2013 -- 9:08 AM
-The Medford Veterinary Clinic celebrated its grand opening, in a new building, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday morning in Colby. The MVC has been in Colby for some time now, but the building the clinic use to be in had been there since the early 70?s and it was getting worn down. The clinic was also unable to use most of the space in the old building as it was basically a giant warehouse.
Dr. Jean Osen gave us a tour of the new facility. The new building?s reception area is broken down into large and small animal and so is the products section. They also created two separate waiting areas for people so the animals that may not be getting along can stay away from each other. The old building had a very small waiting area that caused the animals distress, if they weren?t getting along with the other animals, which cause problems for the vets.
They also have a pharmacy, exams rooms for dogs and cats and a small lab. The clinic was set up for their needs in Colby and, if needed, they can send patients or work to their facility in Medford.
The MVC in Colby is open Monday through Friday from 9-5 and they have 7 full time vets and 2 part time. Their goal is to be available every day.
