Neillsville Man Sentenced for Bankruptcy Fraud

-A Neillsville man was sentenced to jail time on Friday for bankruptcy fraud.Brett Pohle, age 45, was filing for bankruptcy and allegedly concealed, from creditors and the U.S. Trustee, nine firearms and a camper in April of 2008, and that in July 2008, he provided a bill of sale containing false information.
The indictment also alleges that in February 2011, he corruptly persuaded another person to falsify testimony before a federal grand jury.
Pohle was charged with concealing assets in a bankruptcy proceeding, falsifying a record in a bankruptcy proceeding, and witness tampering.
Pohle pleaded guilty to concealing assets back in June. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail and fined $5,000. He must also pay restitution to his creditors.
