4-Year-Old Jackson County Girl Taken to Hospital With Gunshot Wound

-A 4-year-old girl was taken to the hospital in Jackson County with a gunshot wound.According to the Jackson County Sherriff?s Department, they received a call around 9:30 on Friday from the Black River Falls Hospital about a little girl with a non-life threatening gunshot injury.
The incident involved two children, a brother and a sister from the Town of Alma in Jackson County. The 6-year-old boy found a loaded shotgun, pointed it at his sister and the gun discharged. At this time, it's unclear how the gun discharged.
The little girl was struck on the right side of her head, but the injuries were non-life threatening. The girl was treated in Black River Falls and then sent to La Crosse for additional treatment.
The two children didn?t have direct supervision at the time, but their father was with them at the home.
The incident remains under investigation.
