-Uniforms and curb and gutter replacement were discussed at the Greenwood City Council Meeting last week.Gary McDonald from GK services was present to discuss a uniform package. The cost would be $37.53 per month for the employees to rotate 5 shirts, 5 jeans and 3 jackets. All repairs to the clothing would be done by the company and the deal would require a 3 year contract.
Currently each employee receives $450.00 per year for clothing. The council decided to let the employees look at the uniforms and make their decision. The company also offers mats, soap dispensers, toilet paper dispensers and shop towels.
Louie and Jill Fortuna were present to discuss the curb & gutter replacement that is still not solving the water issues. Braun Construction laid the curb & gutter and assured the city that this should solve the problem. Greenwood?s Director of Public Works, Trent Johnson, will contact Braun and have them look at the curb and make necessary corrections.
