Tuesday, August 13th, 2013 -- 11:50 AM
-Clark County residents are encouraged to help ?save the day? and give blood for area patients in need at BloodCenter of 'Wisconsin's' upcoming blood drive scheduled for today at Memorial Medical Center of Neillsville. The blood drive starts at 11:00 a.m. and donors will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. in the Manz Conference Center.
Blood donations decrease during busy summer months as donors? attention turns to enjoying the many Wisconsin festival and family events. By donating this summer, donors can be assured that their unique gifts will help to ?save the day? for patients.
Anyone 17 or older who is in general good health and meets eligibility requirements is encouraged to donate blood. Parental consent is required for 16-year-olds to donate. The entire process takes about an hour. Donors should bring a photo ID that includes birth date.
