Public Works Items from Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The City of Neillsville was able to acquire funds for their hanging baskets through generous donations.At the common council meeting on Tuesday of last week, the council approved moving $1,140 into the celebrations area of the budget. Dave Flynn, Director of Public Works for Neillsville, also mentioned that JVC Screen Printing gave $250 for the hanging baskets.
Dave also talked about the work he and his crew have done in the city the past couple weeks.
The usual stuff was included such as, cleaning of the cemetery and parks, equipment maintenance, patching pot holes, mowing lawns, opening storm drains, street sweeping, cleaning the fountain and more.
They?re also continuing to get ready for the first round of paving that?s happening, they had to replace 400ft of force sewer main on Pitcher Street and the intersection of 21st, and the water department is the process of replacing a broken water lateral on West 6th Street.
