More than $3 million was spent on this year's elections for the Wisconsin Supreme Court and State Superintendent. The Wisconsin Democracy Campaign released its analysis of spending on the two races Thursday.

Candidates and outside groups spent more than $2.2 million on the Supreme Court race in which Justice Pat Roggensack defeated Marquette University law professor Ed Fallone. Roggensack and her supporters outspent Fallone's side by more than three times, $1.7 million to about $488,000.

Just over $1 million was spent on the state superintendent's race in which Tony Evers beat state Rep. Don Pridemore. Evers's side outspent Pridemore about $842,000 to $202,000.

Outside groups spent a combined $1.8 million in the two races while the candidate spent $1.5 million.
