Withee Man Killed in One Vehicle Accident

-A Withee man was killed in a one-car accident early Friday morning.The accident happened on Highway D north of Highway O which is north of Boyd in the town of Delmar. The crash happened just before 1am.
Peter Ballard, age 43, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Chippewa County Sheriff?s Office, The Chevy Impala driven by Ballard was heading south at a high rate of speed when it left the road, hit a driveway embankment, went airborne and struck a large tree.
Ballard was found dead in the back seat of the vehicle. Vehicle parts and paint were noted 15 feet up the side of the tree.
