Loyal School District Begins to Look at Budget

-The Loyal School Board is beginning to look at the district?s budget for the upcoming school year.As of now, it looks like Loyal?s school taxes are going to go up somewhere between 9 and 14%. This is just a rough estimate at this point.
Even with this increase Loyal?s mill rate will still be one of the lowest in the area and their taxes will be comparable to what they were 3 years ago. They dropped two years ago and now are rising again.
The board also approved the hiring of Jessica Schoonover as their Volleyball coach, Amanda Williams for Title I and Wendy Lambrecht as the new Business teacher.
Finally, the board regretfully accepted the resignation of Joe Cuminale as a board member and the district will advertise soon for a replacement.
