Insurance, Lunch Prices and More at Greenwood School Board Meeting

-Insurance, lunch prices and teacher contracts were approved at the Greenwood School Board Meeting on Monday.The board approved the district?s property insurance and raised their deductible to $5000.
They also approved a revenue limit exemption regarding energy projects in order for the district to explore this process and how it can help the Greenwood schools.
The board approved the district?s participation in the 2013-2014 federal lunch program and approved lunch prices to remain the same as they were for the 2012-2013 year. Dean?s Foods was approved to provide dairy products to Greenwood as well.
The school board approved the 2013-2014 support staff contracts last month, this month the salary amounts were acted on and each group received a raise and it will be on each person?s contract.
Also, the 2013-2014 teacher compensation was approved. The teacher?s requested a 2% increase of total base wages for full time employees and prorated for part time employees which will be divided equally among all teachers in the Greenwood School District.
Finally, the 2013-2014 administration contracts were approved by the board. Mrs. Zimmer?s 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 contracts were approved, as was Miss Voglers. They both received a 2% increase in wages.
