Marshfield Police Shoot Pit Bull

-Two Marshfield Police Officers shot a pit bull on Wednesday evening.According to the Marshfield Police Department, two officers responded to a call just before 8pm of a dog loose around East Kalsched Street.
When the officers arrived the dog growled at them and, as they tried to figure out how to catch it, the dog charged at them.
One of the officers than shot and killed the dog.
The owner was located shortly after that and police are going to send their report to the ordinance board to see if the dog?s owner will be cited.
The incident is still under investigation.
