Wednesday, July 10th, 2013 -- 8:59 AM
-It was a short meeting for the Neillsville City Council on Tuesday.Dave Flynn Director of Public Works gave a report on the usual amount of work done in the city for the past couple weeks.
The department worked on ongoing equipment maintenance, cleaned the parks and cemeteries, watered flowers, mowed and more. They also patched pot holes, opened up storm drains, repaired storm drains and worked on straightening and replacing signs.
They also sealed the pavement joints, picked up brush and trimmed trees.
Finally, Dave said that they're getting ready for the first round of paving at the end of this week or next week. Lines will be painted and the biggest project will be the reconstruction of West 5th Street hill past Bautch repair. That road will be completely shut down from the bridge to Ferguson Street. That project will start the week of the 15th.
