Marshfield Man Facing Charges After Drug Bust

(WDLB) A Marshfield man is facing charges, after police made a major drug bust early Thursday morning.
According to WDLB, an officer stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of South Central Avenue just after 2:00 a.m., knowing that the driver, a 40-year-old Marshfield man, did not have a valid driver’s license.
The officer requested the assistance of K-9 Officer Rika, who alerted to the presence of a controlled substance. A search of the vehicle turned up two bags of suspected methamphetamine totaling 16.9 grams, and a larger bag weighing just over 73 grams.
The potential street value of the drug was estimated at $9,000. The man was taken to the Wood County jail, and faces charges of possessing methamphetamine with the intent to deliver, along with felony and misdemeanor bail jumping.
