Monday, May 20th, 2013 -- 9:06 AM
-With summer right around the corner, many people are now planning their summer activities and vacations.Blood donations often decline during the summer, when schools are out and vacations are in. The Red Cross encourages donors to make an appointment to give now to help ensure a stable supply in the weeks and months ahead, giving patients a chance to create a summer of stories.
There are a few local opportunities for you to donate. There will be a blood drive here in Neillsville today from 11am to 6pm at the American Legion.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 21st, there will be a blood drive at the Thorp Fire and Ambulance District Station from 12pm to 6pm.
Finally, on Thursday, May 23th there will be a blood drive at the Black River Memorial Hospital from 10am to 3pm in Black River Falls.
