New Position at Neillsville City Hall

-The Neillsville City Council approved a new position at city hall a Tuesday?s meeting.Due to the increased responsibilities that have fallen onto the City Clerk-Treasurer and Deputy Clerk-Treasurer, the city council, and initially the personnel committee which suggested the idea, thought it would be in the best interest of the city to create an Assistant Clerk Position.
This position will be part time with the individual working 16 to 20 hours a week. There is already an item in the budget that would cover another employee at the city hall, so there will be no extra money coming from another area of the budget to cover the position.
The board also approved the appropriation of the Listeman and the Listeman/Naedler funds.
A total of 19,000 dollars was approved to go to various areas including 2,000 for fireworks, 2,000 for the Heritage Days Events, 5,000 towards a sidewalk leading to the arboretum and 10,000 for new playground equipment in the Listeman Park.
50,000 dollars from the Listeman/Naedler funds went to the fabricating specialist, Mayville Engineering.
