Third Person Arrested in Connection With Death of Marshfield Man

(Karen Madden, Wausau Daily Herald) A third person has been arrested in connection with the December death of a 20-year-old Marshfield man.
According to Karen MAdden of the Wausau Daily Herald, Audrey R. Benson, 20, of Marshfield, was arrested Monday on suspicion of being a party to the crime of first-degree intentional homicide in the death of Christian Schauer, according to the Marathon County Sheriff's Office.
A fur trapper found Schauer, 20, of Marshfield, on Dec. 29 at the south end of Abe Lincoln Avenue, near Swamp Road in the McMillan Marsh Wildlife Area, according to the sheriff's department. Schauer died from injuries he suffered earlier that day at a different location.
Shawn R. Carl, 50, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree intentional homicide and possession of a fully automatic rifle, and his son, Jared R. Carl, 19, of Eau Pleine, was arrested on suspicion of stolen property possession related to the homicide along with drug and weapons charges, the sheriff's department announced on Feb. 10.
