Recent Greenwood City Council Meeting, Final

-The Department of Public Works and a Utility Report were given at last week?s Greenwood City Council Meeting.Building permits submitted by the department were approved by the council and a permit application for WE Energies was approved as well. The Public Works crew also replaced a culvert on Rustic Lane last week. The department would also like to schedule a meeting regarding drive-way applications.
The Utility report informed the council about the high flow the city had. There was also a brief discussion on the city?s well project. A conversation about the rate structure for septic haulers was had and the current charge of $6.58 per thousand. The council voted to increase the rate to $10.46 per thousand.
Finally, a discussion was had on summer help. A Greenwood resident will be helping the Public Works Department while a current employee is on maternity leave. The department would also like to hire two high school students for the summer.
