A Resignation and Public Works Main Focus of Tuesday Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The resignation of a city employee was discussed at Tuesday?s Neillsville City Council Meeting.The council approved the resignation of Ellen Clark, the Deputy Clerk-Treasurer of Neillsville, effective May 31st.
The council also accepted a bid on some asphalt that will be needed for summer work. The bid came to $70.37 per ton. The city needs 1,700 tons, so the total cost will be $119,629.
The council heard several reports at the meeting including the Public Works Report. The usual amount of cleaning and work was done the past couple weeks. The department also said that all decorations must be removed from the cemetery by April 29th or they will be thrown away.
The department plans on having a Spring Clean Up day after May 15th.
