Man Arrested for Crash in Augusta

-An arrest had been made regarding the deadly crash that occurred in Augusta on Friday of last week.According to the Eau Claire County Sheriff?s Department, Andrew Schmitt, the driver of the truck that hit a power pole on Highway N Friday afternoon, was arrested and has pending charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle and homicide by negligent operation of a motor vehicle filed against him.
The crash killed Nicholas Neuenfeldt, age 40, of Boyd and knocked out power to 20 homes for nearly 2 hours.
