Semi Fire in Jackson County

-There was a semi fire in Jackson County on Monday.According to the Jackson County Fire Department, the fire occurred just after 9:30pm on Monday evening. The semi was located on I-94 at mile post 118 in the Township of Brockway.
The Black River Falls Fire Department was called in and by the time they arrived on scene the semi-tractor was fully engulfed and the trailer was on fire as well.
Both west bound lanes were closed for close to an hour, until the fire was put out, and then one lane was reopened.
The semi-tractor is considered a total loss, the trailer has heavy damage, and the cargo, which consisted of seafood, is considered a total loss as well.
The driver of the truck, from Medford, was not injured and the cause of the fire and an estimated dollar loss is undetermined. The semi unit is owned by Edgerton Truck and Trailer Repair of Bonduel, WI.
The department was on scene just over two hours with nine firefighters and four units.
The department was assisted on scene with traffic control by the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Jackson County sheriff's Department.
