Clark County DNR Spring Hearing and Conservation Congress, Part 1

-The DNR?s Spring Hearing and Conservation Congress were held in all Wisconsin Counties Monday evening.The first order of business was to elect the Clark County Representatives to the Conservation Congress. The Conservation Congress provides input on conservation issues in the state of Wisconsin and they act as a liaison to the DNR.
Mike Hayes and Larry Osegard, the current representatives, were up for re-election as their two year and three year terms were up. Through unanimous vote, the group present re-elected both Mike and Larry as Clark County?s Conservation Congress Representatives.
A third member, Tom Briski, wasn?t up for re-election this year, but decided that he wanted to retire. Nominations were asked for to fill Tom?s spot. Whoever would get the position would finish Tom?s current term, which is a year at this point, and then be up for re-election at 2014?s Spring Hearing.
Nobody volunteered for the position during that portion of the meeting, so the position may be left vacant until next year or someone may be appointed at a later date.
