Charges Against Marshfield Man May Be Dropped

-Charges against a Marshfield man accused of driving to Madison with plans to kill abortions doctors may be dropped.In May of 2010, Ralph Lang told officials that he had come to Madison with the intention of killing doctors performing abortions at a Planned Parenthood Clinic. He had been arrested after one of his guns went off in a hotel room.
Initially, only misdemeanor charges were filed against Lang, but in May of 2011 he was indicted with unlawfully attempting to injure, intimidate and interfere with persons participating in a federally funded program.
The charges may be dismissed if a federal judge determines that the doctor Lang had been accused of wanting to murder wasn?t receiving federal funds.
Lang?s trial has been postponed until prosecutors can consult with the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.
