Neillsville Public Works Report
Thursday, March 28th, 2013 -- 10:28 AM
Dave Flynn, Director of Public Works for Neillsville, gave a report at Tuesday?s City Council Meeting. The public works crew continues to work on snow removal, maintenance, and other the usual small town items. They also continue to patch pot holes and open storm drains of ice and snow.
They've also begun to widen the highways and opened up the snow dumps north and south. The crew was also asked by The Highground if they could remove snow from their parking lot so they could hold their recent ?Half is Good Enough for Me? run. The city was happy to do that.
The crews also replaced some 40mph signs with 30mph signs on West 5th Street from Ferguson Street to the Black River Bridge. Dave said that there have been some near accidents there and they're hoping the new speed limit will slow traffic down.
