Clark County Board of Supervisors Meet

Thursday, March 28th, 2013 -- 10:21 AM

The Clark County Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday evening at the Clark County Courthouse.

The board approved the appointment of Jake Brunette and Jerome Krempasky to the Regional Business Fund.

A couple of board members also attended a hearing regarding Governor Scott Walker?s budget. They were pleased with it overall as the report indicated that the budget is going to focus on regional partnerships moving forward. One member was a bit disappointed in the amount of highway aid Clark County will be receiving compared to the southern counties.

The board approved all the resolutions presented. The first was a resolution regarding the community development block grant and how that is distributed. The second was adopting the Clark County Emergency Operations Plan and Supporting Annexes which Emergency Management Director, John Ross, presented at the last meeting.

The final two resolutions approved was the sale of county forest land and withdrawal of land from the county forest crop law. Within this law was an agreement to abandon a dam the DNR deemed unfit, tear it down, and then let Edlen Cranberry Company rebuild a new dam to use for their cranberry marshes. The other resolution was extending the heart of America?s Dairyland to include the Towns of Frankfort, Holton, and Johnson.
