Neillsville School Board Approves HVAC Project Manager

-The Neillsville School Board approved the project manager for the district?s large HVAC project.Both companies vying for project, TRANE and Complete Control, gave one final presentation on what they would do for the district. The board had provided a list of 15 projects that need to be completed, however, there were 9 considered a priority and need to be taken care of during this project. The others could be done at a later time.
It was clearly a hard decision for the board on who to choose. The board mentioned that TRANE, ?has gone the distance and knocked it out of the park,? and they said, ?we have a history with Complete Control and they've done excellent work.?
However, the board did decide to vote for Complete Control due to the price. TRANE?s bid on the projects came to a total of 602,990 dollars while Complete Control came to 467,535 dollars. The board said, ?I know TRANE does good work, but I just can?t justify spending an extra 135,455 dollars.?
Complete Control has yet to pick the sub-contractors they will use, whereas TRANE had, but in the price they quoted the board, the guaranteed maximum price was included in those numbers. That was a big plus for the school board because that means Complete Control?s bid will end up even lower than the 400,000 dollar price quoted.
Complete Control will start on the project soon and they will come to the board for sub-contractor and equipment purchases approval as well as project updates.
