Clark County Farmer Settles with State Ag Officials

-A Clark County farmer has reached a settlement with state agricultural officials.Arlin Bender was accused of slaughtering livestock without a license last July.
Bender slaughtered a farmer?s injured cow in return for cash and the animal?s hide. Bender was also alleged to be operating a meat processing operation at his home.
The State Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection said that Bender will pay over 500 dollars in civil forfeitures. A court injunction bars Bender from slaughtering any livestock until he gets the proper license.
