Neillsville City Council Approves Distribution of Room Tax Funds

-The Neillsville City Council approved the distribution of funds from the 70% Room Tax at their Tuesday Meeting.The total amount available was $8,707.85. 40% of that money was request by the Neillsville Area Chamber of Commerce for chamber activities. The amount for the chamber came to $4,975.91which is the same level as last year. The council did approve that amount to go to the Chamber.
The council also approved 1,000 dollars to be used to help pay for an update to the Historic Walking Tour Brochures.
Another 500 dollars was approved for brochure printing for the 1897 Clark County Jail Museum.
Finally, an additional 1,800 dollars was approved to go the Neillsville Area Chamber of Commerce to help pay for billboards that will promote the Neillsville area.
