Clark County Sheriff's Department Warns Residents of Financial Crimes

-The Clark County Sheriff?s Department wants to warn citizens about recent financial crimes that have resulted in substantial losses for county citizens.There have been complaints of residents selling goods and the buyer purchasing them with personal checks. The checks are returning as non-sufficient funds.
The Sheriff?s Department wants to remind you to obtain proper identification from a check writer, including a phone number and street address. Make sure the check is written in your presence and not pre-written and if possible obtain another payment method rather than a check.
