Traveling Highway 29? Be Aware of Lane Closures

-The Wisconsin Department of Transportation wants motorists that may be traveling on Highway 29, the next couple weeks, to be aware of some closures.Crews working on the WIS 29 reconstruction project between WIS 107 and Marathon County O are planning three nighttime closures of the highway on March 18, 19 and 20. The closures will occur from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The closures are necessary for the construction of the new County O interchange over WIS 29.
During the closures, traffic on WIS 29 will be detoured via WIS 107, County N and US 51. To avoid delays, motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow more time for travel.
Motorists can also expect weekday single lane closures on WIS 29 which began yesterday.
The scheduled closures are subject to change based on weather conditions and construction status.
