Medford Teen Allegedly Involved in Threat Pleads Not Guilty

-A Medford teen allegedly involved in the recent threat made at the Medford School District had an initial appearance in Taylor County Court on Tuesday.The 17 year old allegedly lied to school officials a couple weeks ago saying she had overheard a bomb threat in the girls? bathroom at the district.
As a result over 72% of the student body at Medford was absent on February 22nd. She was arrested on that Friday and charges of obstructing an officer and bail jumping were filed against her.
At her court appearance, the student entered a plea of not guilty to the charges and a 1000 dollar signature bond was set against her. As an added condition to her bond, the court ordered that she live with her mother in Hurly.
The student will appear in court again in April and if convicted of the charges she could spend 18 months in prison.
