Trial for La Cross Man Accused of Killing Loyal Woman Postponed

Wednesday, March 6th, 2013 -- 8:20 AM

-The court proceedings for a La Crosse man accused of killing a Loyal woman continue.

In March of 2012, Paige Delo was killed when a vehicle that Tyler Deal was driving spun out of control and hit a utility pole on the passenger side.

Drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle after the accident. Initially, Deal only had two misdemeanor drug charges filed against him, but in August of last year, the prosecutors added the felony homicide charges.

As of now, Deal has four felony charges regarding homicide by use of a vehicle and two misdemeanor possession charges filed against him.

Initially, a jury trial had been set for this month, but now it had been adjourned for the time being as a new charge, a new judge, and new defense attorney are assigned to the case.

A 20,000 dollar signature bond was re-filed against Deal, an increase over the original 2500 dollar bond set against him for the drug charges, with 7500 dollars in cash needed upfront to post his bond. He must also follow all the terms of the original bond that was set against him.

Deal will appear in court again later this month.
