NEW INFO: Missing Wood County K-9 Found

-The missing K-9 from Wood County, known has Toro, has been found.Toro is a highly trained drug dog. Officials say when they came across Toro in the woods on Tuesday he was eating a deer carcass.
When he was recovered he was turned over to his handler and checked for injuries, only finding a small cut on his paw. A vet checked him over saying Toro was in excellent health.
Toro will officially be back to work on Friday and the Wood County Sheriff?s Department is thrilled to have him back. They said he?s ?part of the family.? The Department also wanted to thank all those that assisted in the search. They are very grateful and appreciative.
Toro went missing earlier this week. A State Patrol officer asked for assistance in searching a vehicle for drugs. After the search, Toro got away from his handler and sprinted into the woods.
The Wood County Sheriff?s Department received help from several police, fire, and sheriff?s departments as well as the Ministry Spirit Helicopter and others. An outpouring of support has come from all around the state happy and pleased that Toro was found alive and well.
