-Several resolutions were passed at the recent Clark County Board of Supervisors meeting. The first resolution passed was to restore base level funding to land conservation as supported by the Wisconsin Counties Association and the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation.
Governor Walker had cut 30 million dollars from the County Land Conservation Department. The county has had to pick up funding shortfalls to maintain this program. This resolution, from all counties, will be sent to the governor to have him put that money back. It passed unanimously.
The second resolution passed was an expected revision to the Clark County Handbook regarding overtime for the Social Services and Sheriff?s Department. It passed unanimously.
The final two resolutions did not receive any action taken on them. One resolution regarding rail preservation was found to be mute for our area. The other was sent back to be reworked and will come back during the March meeting. It dealt with a community development block grant.
