Clark County Board of Supervisors Meeting, Part 3

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors heard a report from Emergency Management Director John Ross.The report was a brief look at Clark County?s emergency plan should a large disaster occur in the county.
The reason the report was being brought up at the meeting is because the board needs to approve changes that have been made to the plan. However, John thought it would be best for them to hear about it first and then vote on it at the next meeting instead of hearing about it and then voting on it.
Some of the highlights of the report include the response starting at the local level, then moving up to the state level, and finally the federal level.
It also took a look at the operations, recovery, legal, and other portions of a natural disaster event and what the county would do in those situations.
The board will vote on the changed plan at the next meeting.
