No Discussion of Gun Laws in Wisconsin Capitol
Monday, February 25th, 2013 -- 8:29 AM
-Discussion of gun laws is a hot topic in many state Capitols this spring, but not in Wisconsin.Republicans who control the state Assembly says it's highly unlikely they'll pass any legislation that would reduce access to guns.
They're more focused on studying gaps in the state's mental health system that might be a factor in gun violence.
Democrats are drafting bills that would tighten background checks and restrict magazines and assault weapons, among other things. But they concede there's little hope of passage without support from the Republican majority.
