Crop Production 101 Presentations

Richard Halopka, Clark County UW-Extension Crops & Soils Agent, will present ?Crop Production 101: Just the Basics?.This program will be available on three different dates and locations. On February 25 it will be at the Marathon Fire hall, February 26 at the Abbotsford City Hall Board Room and on February 27 at the Sheldon Community Hall.
The program will provide farmers and agronomy professionals with the ?agronomy basics? for developing a decision process for crop inputs.
Topics will include: farm goals, the 17 essential nutrients, interpreting a soil sample, OM, the unknown nutrient; the ?Fast Facts Experience? of farm nutrients, crop needs and crop budgets; weed management; growing degree days, and fertilizer vs. plant food.
Each session will start at 12:30 p.m. Registration is not required.
